The Yearbook of Cardiology 2016 is a collection of such carefully chosen articles from various peer review journals that were published between November 2014 and 2015. Majority of research has taken place in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and acute coronary syndrome non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (ACS-NSTEMI), antiplatelets and interventional cardiology and archer of the reader may find the balance of articles tilting towards these topics. In addition to rewritten abstracts of research articles, the yearbook also contains the critical review of these articles with key points followed by appraisal with appropriate references for further reading for those who want to chase the topic further. The critical appraisal gives an analysis of the article, its clinical relevance, strength and weakness. In addition, yearbook contains review articles pertaining to current hot topics in the form of review articles and dilemmas. Balanced views and reviews are given under the heading of dilemmas. These are some of the unique features of this current yearbook, which are at variance with the other yearbooks which give abstracts of articles and some brief comments by the expert editor reviewing those articles.
