Expert Opinions in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

by Sandip P. Vasavada, Howard B. Goldman

The book deals with various case studies covering a wide range of female urologic and urogynecologic diseases commonly seen by both urologists and gynecologists. Each case starts with an initial description followed by at least one expert reviewer’s opinion on evaluation and treatment, and then finally an opinion from the editors. Some of the case studies discussed include stress urinary incontinence; mixed urinary incontinence, continued incontinence after sling surgery, stress incontinence and intrinsic, and stress incontinence and elevated voiding pressures. Other case studies deal with subjects such as vesicovaginal fistula, post sling obstruction, recurrent vaginal prolapse after mesh repair, recurrent anterior vaginal wall prolapsed, stress incontinence, voiding dysfunction, vaginal pain after vaginal mesh placement, and vesicouterine fistula and rectocele.
