This chapter deals with important communication skills in conveying prognosis and risks without killing hope and at the same time without inducing false hope. The three dimensions of hope are discussed as well as the art of caring and not scaring while discussing risks and hazards of healthcare. The end of chapter exercises are designed to provide effective teaching-learning experiences of the skills highlighted in the chapter.
