Abstract

Male reproductive system consisted of penis, scrotum, testis and epididymis. Superficial fascia of scrotum contains involuntary muscle fibers called dartos. Testis: 5 cm long, 2.r5t cm, broad and 3 cm anteroposteriorly weight 105 to 140 gm. covering of testis: Tunica vaginalis, tunica albuginea and tunica vasculosa. After maturity sperms develop in the Wallis of seminiferous tubules. Spermatogonia—spermatocyte spermatozoa—supporting cells—cells of Sertoli. Epididymis: Epididymis lies along the lateral part of posterior border of testis. Spermatic cord carries Deferent duct. Cowper’s gland lies in front of rectum, through the walls of which it can be felt providing a convenient way to massage it. Capsules of prostate: True capsule by condensation at the periphery of gland. Bulbourethral glands about size of peas lie on either side of membranous urethra between the two layers of fascia of urogenital diaphragm. Penis is the male organ of copulation. It has two parts – radix (root) and perineum corpus (body).
