Abstract

Tuberculosis of skin is divided into three categories: 1. Primary tuberculosis, 2. Secondary tuberculosis, and 3. Tuberculosis. Primary tuberculosis (Tuberculous chancre) of the skin is uncommon. The Lesion consists of a small, persistent sore resembling at first impetigo or Ecthyma. Secondary tuberculosis: Secondary tuberculosis is due to reinfection of an individual who has already been infected by the tubercle bacillus. Four types—lupus vulgaris, warty lupus (tuberculosis verrucosa cutis), and scrofuloderma and tuberculosis ulcer. Diagnosis of skin tuberculosis: 1. Clinical picture, 2. Smear for AFB (T)-Ziehl-Neelsen stain, 3. History-showing TB granuloma, 4. Animal inoculation and culture in II media, and 5. Tuberculin skin test. Treatment: The current view treat skin tuberculosis in lines of pulmonary tuberculosis, most frequently use regimes are streptomycin, INH and PAS and other being SHRZ.
