Abstract

Leprosy: Single or multiple, Impaired sensation, sweating function and hair growth not affected, skin slit smear for AFB(L) is usuall negative, Lepromin, color of the lesion is usually erythematous, and skin lesions. Lepromatous Leprosy (LL): Most cases of Ll develop and Lepromatous. Primary polyneuritic leprosy: Primary polyneuritic leprosy is characterized by primary involvement of multiple peripheral nerves. Commonly affected nerves. Affected nerve is tender, uniformly enlarged like a cord. Investigations: (a) For confirmation of diagnosis, (b) Lepromin test, and (c) Nerve conduction study. Treatment of paucibacillary cases: Treatment, all smear, rifampicin 600 mg daily × 14 days, clofazimine 100 mg. Minimum period of treatment should not be less than 2 years.
