It provides detailed information about the only treatable entity of mother-to-child transmission of disease and includes descriptions on post-exposure prophylaxis and biosafety measures as well as prevention of infection among health workers. It emphasizes on the knowledge of psychological effects of the disease to treat the patient in totality.
