Sankara Nethralaya Clinical Practice Patterns in Ophthalmology

by Prema Padmanabhan, SS Badrinath

This book Clinical Practice in Patterns in Ophthalmology, summarizes the management of clinical entities commonly encountered in ophthalmic practice. It is not intended to be a formal textbook, nor is it mean to imply that other methods of treatment prescribed and practiced elsewhere are incorrect. The endeavour has been to create guidelines that are rational, practical and relevant. This book is a step-by-step format, summarizing the management of commonly encountered diseases. Covers topics related to orbit, squint, cornea, glaucoma, uvea, neuro-ophthalmology, vitreoretinal diseases and ocular trauma. History of every disease is given first followed by indication, contraindication, examination, management (both medical and surgical), treatment and follow-up in a bulleted approach style. For some of the injuries like chemical injuries etiology, pathophysiology and classification are also given.
