Anaesthesia for eye surgery presents unique anaesthetic problems and requirements. These patients often represent extremes of ages and they may be associated with co-existing medical diseases. The choice of anaesthetic technique is either local or general. Ocular anatomy, effects of drugs on IOP and possibility of oculocardiac reflex need adequate consideration. Similarly ENT anaesthesia also needs adequate evaluation of ear, airway and related structures in preoperative period. Securing the patent airway is most important.
