Abstract

Abstract

Two case histories of forgotten mops at the time of hysterectomy, one during extraperitonisation, removed vaginally, and another intraperitoneal, near the lesser sac, removed by laparotomy, are described. Signs and symptoms of Aseptic sponges left in the abdomen are discussed along with radiological features. Treatment is by removing the foreign body.
