Abstract

This chapter deals with normal anatomy and histology of uterine cervix and its principal diseases. The pathologic entities described and illustrated with gross and microscopic figures include the following: Cervicitis, infections such as those caused by herpes simplex virus, chlamydia, trichomonas, and endocervical polyps; cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and human papilloma virus infections; squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma.
