Abstract

To learn and understand the role of nutrition in management and recovery of tuberculosis. Malnutrition is frequently found among TB patients, several studies report that patterns with pulmonary TB are malnourished has indicated by reductions in visceral proteins, anthropometric indexes, and micronutrient status. Supplementation with zinc and multimicronutrients, but neither alone, increased the Wight gain by 2.4kg. Among HIV co infected patients, zinc and multimicronutrients combines reduce mortality by 70 percent, although there were no effects on viral load. Elucidated with clinical case reports.
