Abstract

To learn and understand adverse effects of antitubercular drugs and its management. Serious reactions are rare but they require vigilance. Adverse effects are not a contraindication to appropriate treatment. However, poorly managed side effect may lead to non - adherence or in appropriate therapy. Community health workers and DOT enable close surveillance for adverse effects. Community health workers and DOT enable close surveillance for adverse effects this community based approach entails well trained team, community health worker participation, and close communication. Elucidated with clinical case reports.
