Abstract

To learn and understand the role host genetics in pathogenesis and clinical presentation of tuberculosis. Bacterial virulence animal response to intern influences by the coordinated expression of gene products of pathogen and the host. The biological function of these gene products would determine the fate of infection. Besides genetic factors contributing to resistance susceptibility to tuberculosis, socioeconomic and environmental factors responsible for the incidence of tuberculosis need to be kept in mind.
