The baby will be taking few minutes to get used to life outside the world. Apgar score measures color, pulse or heart beat, response to stimulation, muscle tone, respiration and the scores are given as 0, 1, and 2. Measuring the baby: Length, head circumference, birth weight. Later check: Blood sample, abdomen, head of femur, baby skin. Common conditions: Talipes equinovarus, congenital dislocation of hip, Metatarsus adductus, Talipes calcaneus valgus, Brachialplexus injury and sterno cleido mastoid tumour.
