This book Step by Step GI Disease Case Studies: CT Enteroclysis consists of 27 cases of varied diseases having characteristic findings on enteroclysis and which were subsequently proved by surgery and histopathology. With newer CT scan machines, the CT enteroclysis is playing a major role in small bowel imaging. This short atlas of small and large bowel disorders, diagnosed mainly through CT enteroclysis, is not only filled with a illustrations, but gives critical findings, imaging and surgical data with histological proofs. Technique of fluoroscopy guided N-J tube placement is performed for which patients’ cooperation is a must. The quantity of contrast used varies from 1.5 to 2 litres. The rate of injection is 40-60 ml per minute and varies from patient to patient depending on the position of the tip. Intravenous antispasmodic is given 30 seconds prior to the IV contrast so as to paralyze the bowel loops for few minutes.
