Abstract

Mercury is a toxic substance, detrimental to environment. The disposal option for it is BMP (Best Management practice). Store unused mercury in tightly sealed, break resistant container, label hazardous waste, contact a certified waste carrier for recycling or disposal. Same procedure should be carried out for scrap amalgam also (but separate non-contact unused scrap amalgam from used amalgam).
