Abstract

Today, office hysteroscopy is no longer considered as a plain diagnostic procedure as was the case for diagnostic laparoscopy. The evolution of the instruments has made it possible the philosophic approach of “see and treat”, and much pathology can be managed in the same moment of the procedure, thus improving the acceptability and satisfaction of the patients that, otherwise, should have to wait for a preoperative evaluation and an anaesthetic and surgical procedure in the theatre.
