Abstract

Magnification is the method to increase the size of the retinal image so that enough of the retina is stimulated to send an impulse through the optic nerve to the brain allowing an object to be perceived. The chapter basically explains the principles lying behind the magnification and explains how different types of magnification works. The chapter also throws light on how you can predict the magnification required for a low vision patient.
