Abstract

The chapter aims at enabling the reader to assess how far a diet is satisfactory for a given individual. It lists the factors that determine the energy requirement of an individual, and then makes the reader go through a realistic diet with the objective of assessing its adequacy for a 30 year old 60 kg sedentary man.
