Minor Surgical Procedures

by N Mohan

Some of the common “Daycare” surgeries are described in this book with emphasis on basic anatomy and practical tips. It would be a useful companion to medical students, house surgeons and fresh practising surgeons. This book includes chapters on basic surgical techniques. Minor surgical procedures are innumerable and in a teaching hospital, they are performed usually by the inexperienced trainee surgeon and these procedures are relegated to the end of the list, performed in a side room often assisted by another trainee surgeon either of the same batch or a batch one year older. The difficulties are experienced mainly in administering the anaesthetic agent locally (local anaesthesia) and identification of the proper cleavage. This book guides a student for the minor procedures which enabled a surgeon to gain confidence.
