The pigments that are deposited are developmental, melanin, hematogenous and metallic. The descriptions of these various deposits are discussed on the basis of the various layers of cornea that are involved. Melanin and developmental are seen in all layers while hematogenous usually are seen in superficial layers. Various types of metals are deposited in certain layers of the cornea. The treatment modality is outlined. Pigmentation of conjunctiva is mentioned at the end of this chapter.
