Excision of thyroglossal Cyst and fistula is indicated for cosmetic purpose and complication. By a crease or elliptical incision, the Cyst or fistula is dissected upto hyoid bone. The central part of body of hyoid bone is excised with the tract. Above the hyoid bone a core of mylohyoid muscle is excised.
