Abstract

It is indicated for surgical treatment of chronic duodenal ulcer along with truncal vagotomy or for pyloric stenosis. Ideally posterior, retro-colic, oblique, isoperistaltic gastrojejunostomy is done. Anterior gastrojejunostomy may be done as a palliative procedure. A side to side anastomosis is carried out in four layers.
