Abstract

The only way to cure inguinal hernia is by operation. The only contraindication for operation is terminal illness or no consent for operation. The operative steps consists of herniotomy (isolation, dealing with the content, ligation at neck and excision) tension free repair (Lichtenstein proline mesh). Herniotomy alone is sufficient in infant and children.
