Undescended or ectopic testis should be operated to avoid complications like loss of function, malignant change, and trauma. Though some pediatric Surgeons are doing the operation at the age of 2 years, for most general Surgeons, the ideal age of the patient for operation should be 3-4 years. Orchidopexy consists of mobilization of testis and spermatic cord and retaining the testis in scrotum.
