Abstract

Photo contact dermatitis denotes the dermatoses produced by some substances only in the presence of light. Photo contact dermatitis may be of two types: phototoxic and photo allergic contact dermatitis. Causative agents and clinical pattern of both variety of photo contact dermatitis are different. Photo patch test remains a useful diagnostic test to detect photo allergic contact dermatitis.
