Abstract

Bronchiolitis is probably the most important diagnosis to be considered in an infant with respiratory distress following an upper respiratory tract illness. With good supportive management, the condition has excellent outcomes. This chapter discusses the clinical features and management of bronchiolitis in infants, and provides a scientific explanation for the futility of certain drugs often misused in this condition.
