Tuberculosis is probably the most important diagnosis to be ruled out in children presenting with features of prolonged respiratory illness in developing countries. The diagnosis is often difficult and is based on circumstantial evidences. This chapter deals with the most appropriate ways to make a confident diagnosis of the condition and provide the best possible treatment.
