The field of HIV Medicine continues to undergo rapid evolution. Hardly any field of medicine has ever undergone a similar rapid development to that of the therapy of HIV infection. Pregnancy in HIV-infected women is a special situation because it provides a unique opportunity for prevention of vertical transmission of HIV using various interventions. The management of HIV-Infected pregnant women had become increasingly complex especially with the advent of highly active antiretroviral therapy. This book focuses on management of pregnancy in HIV-infected women. It will help health care providers to give their patients ethical, appropriate and optimal care.
