Abstract

People living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) commonly experienced stigma and discrimination in hospitals, which is reported in a variety of ways. The root cause of all these problems is actually that health care workers are not sensitive towards the need of PLWHA. Misinformation and judgmental attitudes among all cadres of HCWs can foster stigma, fear, and differential treatment of PLHA even the most senior HCWs do not have complete understanding of HIV transmission and prevention. So there is utmost importance of training oriented especially on sensitizing health care workers towards needs of PLWHA.
