Connective tissue is classified into loose and dense, regular and irregular. Skeletal system consists of cartilage, bone and joints. Periosteum is the outer covering of bone. Bone can ossify in cartilage or membrane. Major bones in the body are clavicle, scapula, humerus radius, ulna, articulated hand, hip bone, femur, tibia, fibula, articulated foot, skull bones, fontanelle, hyoid bone, ribs, sternum, and vertebrae. Joints are classified into different types. Major synovial joints are shoulder joint, hip joint, knee joint, temporomandibular joint.
