Evaluation is the heart of the educational process, for it helps to determine how far the learning experiences as developed and organized are actually producing the desired results. Evaluation procedure helps the nursing students to know what is it that they should learn, for the nurse educator to know the effectiveness of course plan, teaching methods and for the nurse administrator to determine the effectiveness of the curriculum. This unit deals with all such issues and also highlights the purposes, types and techniques of evaluation.
