Abstract

This chapter commences with preparation of tissues – like fixation and fixatives, decalcification and its various methods. It goes on with the tissue processing methods, sectioning of tissues and their staining methods. Given next is removal of pigments and precipitates. Next is given the use of common hematoxylins like – Harris’s, Mayer’s; also given are their counter stains.
