Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has revolutionized the imaging of the entire body. The tissue characterization with modern imaging is very close to the histology of the tissue. Advances in MRI are contributing to the functional aspects of the organs. Unlike other branches of medicine, acquiring expertise in Imaging is through seeing different pathologies and correlating with operative findings and final histopathology. Guide the residents and radiologists to acquire expertise in magnetic resonance imaging through the Practical Atlas of MRI. There are lots of MRI images data available in textbooks and on the Internet. Our residents try to match the MR images with available data either in the books or on the Internet. If the images match with the available data in the books, they consider the possibility discussed in the books. This prompted us to make Practical Atlas of MRI to include a wide range of pathology. However, it should be remembered that matching the images should not be the main criteria to decide the diagnosis but should always be correlated with detailed clinical features and other investigations. Compiled interesting MRI images which we have acquired over a long time. Normal anatomy, normal variations and different pathologies are included in the atlas. Lgends to describe the symptoms, image sequences and also relevant text about each diagnosis. However, the reader should refer to standard textbooks for detailed information. Most of our images are acquired on 1.5 TESLA MRI equipment. This book is primarily meant for Radiology residents, General practitioners, Radiologists, doctors from other specialties, MRI and other technical staff and others who have a special interest in MRI.
