This chapter has tremendous medico-legal importance. Neuromotor abnormalities are an integral part of many psychiatric disorders. Hence the tendency to blame antipsychotics for all movement disorders in chronic psychiatric patients may be too strong or misguided. The study of the association between movement disorders and psychiatric syndromes may unravel vital clues in the etiopathogenesis of the latters.
