Abstract

This chapter highlights the movement disorders encountered in neurosurgical practice. Two types of movement disorders are encountered in neurosurgical practice—traumatic and non-traumatic. Posttraumatic movement disorders may be accidental head and spinal cord injury or iatrogenic during operation. Non-traumatic movement disorder may be acquired or congenital which also may be neoplastic or non-neoplastic. Movements may be hypokinetic and hyperkinetic.
