Abstract

Every anaesthetist can face a patient in whom endotracheal intubation is either extremely difficult or impossible. Common anatomical causes of difficulty should be detected in preoperative visit and planning should be done to tackle the situation. However the patient’s safety should always be ensured. Failed intubation drill is most important in cases of unexpected difficult intubation.
