Abstract

To understand the basis of most genetic disorders, the study of structure of the cell and the process of cell division is essential. Various errors can occur during the process of cell division leading to number of defects in the offspring. This chapter discusses this process and its significance. The differences between oogenesis and spermatogenesis intrinsic and extrinsic effect are also discussed.
