Various components of physiotherapy include breathing exercises, exercises to increase circulation, prevent stiffness and increase flexibility, to tone up muscles, to strength abdominal muscles, for back and shoulder muscles, to tone up perineal muscles, and progressive on strength and stamina building exercises. Coughing, knee rolling, head raising, leg sliding, back care, getting in out of bed, and housework and lifting, are some important excercises. Patient should not flex her thigh, buttocks or abdominal muscles while doing Kiegel Exercises. In biofeedback training, a nurse, therapist or technician inserts a monitoring probe into her vagina or place adhesive electrodes on the skin outside her vagina or rectal area.
