This chapter presents an overview of some general and specific to gynecologic surgery Instruments. The instruments can generally be divided into general operating set, minor procedure set, and special instruments and laparoscopy instruments. Scissors, artery forceps, tissue clamps, uterine sound, blunt and sharp curette, Cusco\'s bivalve self-retaining vaginal speculum, anterior vaginal wall retractor, and cervical dilators, are some important instruments used in surgery. Endometrial biopsy curette is slender tubular blunt ended instruments slightly curved at the tips. Ayer\'s spatula is used for taking cervical samples for pap smear in suspected cases of cervical cancers. Hysteroscope, laparoscope, and other endoscopy instruments, are being used in gynecologic practice by surgeons who have undergone special training in handling and using these instruments.
