This book Current Problems in Orthopaedics and Trauma is aimed to provide them with current information and update some common orthopaedics and trauma problems, discuss advantages, disadvantages and complications of commonly practised techniques, especially difficulties in performing them at peripheral centres. The author has attempted to suggest some simple methods to manage them. In a work of this kind, unlike a textbook, the choice of subjects is not necessarily comprehensive. The subjects have been chosen keeping in mind their importance in the orthopaedic practice in India. The photographs and diagrams have been used to illustrate interesting facts discussed in the text and important facts have been highlighted by italics type. The author hopes the book will benefit orthopaedic surgeons working in peripheral hospitals, orthopaedic postgraduate students and may be some of their young teachers. Some of the chapters like low back Ache, tuberculosis will be useful to surgeons, physicians and general practitioners.
