Leprosy is a proteiform infectious disease that presents with innumerable possible clinical features. This chapter deals with the epidemiology, clinical spectrum, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, reactions and complications of leprosy. The significant features which aid in clinching the diagnosis of each spectrum and lepra reactions both clinically and pathologically are given to the point and are well illustrated with clinical photographs. Considering the protean manifestations of leprosy, the differential diagnoses of each manifestation are discussed extensively. The key points related to slit skin smear and lepromin tests are given concisely. The treatment aspects are dealt in great detail highlighting the various MDT regimens and monitoring guidelines. The complications are described concisely with photographs with a note on ocular leprosy.
