There are many viral skin infections which range from those causing just skin infection to those with associated systemic disease. In this chapter, the focus is on the following most common cutaneous viral diseases, namely molluscum contagiosum, human papilloma virus infection, herpes simplex infection and varicella zoster virus infection. These infections are discussed in detail, pertaining to their cutaneous manifestations with clinical photographs, diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis and treatment. The treatment modalities for the various infections are given in great detail. Also, a brief note on Kaposi’s varicelliform eruption and Kawasaki disease is provided.
