Infestations are important in dermatology as they can cause dermatologic diseases that range from urticarial lesions to papulosquamous eruptions to bullous eruptions and may spread infectious diseases. The most common infestations in dermatology practice- scabies and pediculosis are described in great detail in this chapter regarding the morphology and life cycle of the causative agents, clinical manifestations and more elaborately on the treatment aspects. Apart from these infestations, the key features of papular urticaria, myiasis, larva migrans and leishmaniasis are emphasised. The varied clinical presentations are illustrated well in clinical photographs.
