Problems of ear in childhood are most commonly found as otitis media, mastoiditis, foreign body in external ear, impacted cerumen (wax) and hearing impairment. Disorders of nose in children include congenital malformations like cleft palate and choanal atresia. Acquired problems of nose are found as rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal obstruction, foreign body in nose, trauma and epistaxis. Disorders of throat are identified as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, adenoidal hypertrophy, laryngo-tracheitis, epiglottitis, laryngomalacia and throat injury. Dental problems are seen as delayed eruption of teeth, malocclusions of teeth, and dental caries.
