Cervicography is a portable camera which can be taken on Camps and in field trips to photograph the entire cervix. Cervicography was developed by Staff in 1981. Cervicograph is an optical instrument, a kind of photo camera on which all the functions are locked. The expert in colposcopy can evaluate 100 to 200 cervigrams per hour. If the cytology smear is simultaneously checked the diagnostic accuracy can reach almost 100%. Intervals between the cervicography screenings could be much longer. The recent development includes a Digital camera.
