Section contains images (CT Scans and MRI) of all major groups of CNS diseases like space occupying lesions, infections, infarction, haemorrhage and metastatic lesions. More than 30 images are provided for a radiographic view of cerebrovascular accidents (infarctions, haemorrhage of all kinds which includes subdural, subarachnoid, epidural and intraparenchymal). Brain tuberculomas solitary and multiple are extensively explained with characteristic radiological features (ring like lesions, nodular enhancement, surrounding edema, and pre and post contrast radiographic changes) on CT scans and gadolinium enhanced MRI. Pre and post contrast CT Scans of TB meningitis/pyogenic meningitis depict prominent tomographic signs (basal enhancement of basal cisterns, effacement of sulci, etc). Section provides CT Scans and MRI of cerebral abscess including metastatic abscess and subdural empyema. CNS neoplasms (meningioma, craniopharyngioma, medulloblastoma, glioblastoma multiforme, malignant glioma, neuroma, pituitary adenoma and metastatic lesions) are included with their radiographic features on CT Scans and MRI. Section also contains images of hydrocephalus, diffuse cortical atrophy and AV malformations.
