The textbook of Surgery for Dental Students is having its first edition in year 2010. The book is authored by Dr Sanjay Marwah, Professor of Surgery at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, India. He is into teaching and training of undergraduate as well as postgraduate students for the last two decades. He has been examiner with various universities and understands the requirements of examination system faced by the students. This book is primarily aimed at undergraduate medical students (BDS as well as MBBS) but would also serve as ready reference for the postgraduate students. All the chapters are described in a comprehensive manner using simple language and covering recent advances in surgery. A large number of coloured photographs relating to the text are very helpful in easy understanding of the subject. Addition of boxes in each chapter containing key points and the flow diagrams is meant for quick revision of the subject. Interesting case summaries have been incorporated in the text for better understanding of the concerned topic. An interactive DVD-ROM has been provided with the book that contains recording of minor operations and ward procedures highlighting important steps for easy learning of these procedures.
