Problem-based Questions in Pathology

by Sanjay Sengupta

This book deals with problem based questions and their solutions. Most probably it is the first book of this kind. It is meant for undergraduate pathology students. Thus, most of the problems are simple and straight forward. During solution, a short account of the diseases included in the differential diagnosis of each problem is given. So, apart from access to 293 various types of problems, this book also can be utilized as a reference during study of Systemic Pathology. But don’t try to find out uncommon presentations of rare diseases. I am interested in lucid point-wise description of commoner ailments. For the sake of students (teachers also) problems are categorized into ‘must know’ (***), ‘better to know’ (**) and ‘nice to know’ (*) grades. The main purpose of this book is to encourage young medical students to think rationally. They should be properly guided to identify the sufferers’ behind the problems. Hope the budding physicians would be able to utilize their problem solving skill into the field of clinical differential diagnosis.
